How to get in Ginostra, Stromboli island...
Ginostra can only be reached by sea. Until just a few years ago, large boats could not dock because the tiny port did not have a pier. Guests reached the shore by means of the “rollo,” a small wooden boat that made trips back and forth between the boat and land. Since the construction of the pier, you can disembark comfortably, though less romantically.
Ginostra can be reached by ferry and hydrofoil with Siremar, Snav and Ustica Lines from Naples, Reggio Calabria and from Messina, Milazzo, and Palermo in Sicily.
The Siremar ferries, which make the crossing from Naples to Ginostra during the night, arrive at sunrise, a lovely time of day to reach the Aeolian Islands.
It is also possible to arrive by helicopter with Air Panarea.
